St. Joseph Catholic Church is proud to celebrate 125 years of Catholic faith in the city of Lakeland. To mark this special occasion, we are pleased to host a gala and silent auction fundraiser on October 6, 2023, at the Lake Mirror Auditorium. We hope we can count on your support to make it a success. Would you be willing to donate an item for our silent auction, or perhaps sponsor the event by selecting one of the enclosed sponsorship levels?
Jesus reminds us in the Gospel according to Matthew: “whatever you did for one of these least brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.” Feeding our neighbor, welcoming the stranger, and caring for the sick are the heart of our mission, and our 125^th anniversary celebration is a fitting time to reflect upon St. Joseph’s many enduring contributions in Lakeland and beyond. In addition to our growing parish food pantry; we are proud to be the founding institution of Talbot House Ministries, a homeless shelter located right here in Downtown Lakeland, and Options for Women (formerly PregAid), a pregnancy help clinic providing valuable resources to expectant mothers in Lakeland and Bartow. While these are just a few examples, St. Joseph remains committed as ever to serving our neighbors and enriching our community.
All proceeds from our anniversary celebration will support the cost of the renovation of our historic church, as well as other necessary upgrades. Your generous support will allow St. Joseph Catholic Church to continue to be the beacon of faith, hope, and healing that has blessed our beloved Lakeland community for over a century. We appreciate your consideration!
