Below you will find the most up to date information regarding the reopening and return to our parish, as directed by the Diocese of Orlando.
Please note this page will be updated as more information becomes available and decisions are made.
Starting Monday May 11th, our church will be open on a limited basis for the faithful to come in to pray and participate in the sacrament of Reconciliation. Visitation for prayer will be available Monday, Wednesday, and Friday only, from 10:30AM-11:30AM. The Sacrament of Reconciliation will be available by appointment ONLY on Tuesday and Thursday from 1:00PM – 2:00PM. Each penitent will be allowed only 5 minutes for the sacrament.
To make an appointment, please contact the parish office at (863) 213-5280.
Starting Monday May 18th, daily Masses will be open to the faithful while observing proper social distancing. Given the recent guidelines from our Governor we can only maintain a capacity of 125 people. Should we reach that capacity, further entry will be denied. The schedule for daily Masses will be as follows, Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at 9:00AM; Tuesday and Thursday at 12:00PM in English. Mass in Spanish will be celebrated on Thursday at 10:00AM.
Our Pastoral Center (or Parish Office) will open May 18th and follow normal hours of operation.
Starting Saturday May 30th, our regular weekend Mass schedule will resume with proper social distancing guidelines. However, only at the 125 person capacity previously mentioned.
Mass Live-Stream
Our Masses will continue to be made available on both our website and Facebook page via live-stream. Please keep in mind that missing Mass during this time of pandemic does not constitute a mortal sin. Additionally, the obligation to attend Sunday Mass has been dispensed until further notice. Those who are experiencing a cough, fever, and cold/flu like symptoms, out of consideration for others, are not to attend Mass.
Please exercise discretion and caution in choosing to participate in these services as well as adhere to the safety measures that have been put in place for the good of the public. Your patience and cooperation with these guidelines is greatly appreciated as we prayerfully move forward.
Online Giving
During this time of uncertainty, we encourage our parishioners who cannot attend attend Mass at St. Joseph to consider online giving through our parish website by clicking the link below.
If you use a regular parish envelope you can also mail that to the parish office. Your gift is greatly appreciated and helps with the operation of our historic parish.
